Jeanine & Hans

After experiencing the power and potential of psychedelics ourselves for several years, we (Jeanine and Hans) founded the Experiential Training Institute in 2022. As an experiential education company, we’re dedicated to training mental health practitioners in psychedelic processes, while facilitating regular small group retreats for individuals and couples searching for deep meaning from this work.

Understanding the science, history, philosophy, psychology, and psychiatry, as well as the sacred wisdom linked with psychedelic work, has taken years. We both understand first-hand the non-ordinary state of consciousness and its opportunities, as well as the unique challenges that come with altered states.

We first met when we worked together for Field Trip Health in Amsterdam, where we teamed up as Medical Director (Hans) and Head Therapist (Jeanine). At Field Trip, hundreds of clients were safely guided during their magic truffle sessions, with a proven track record for leading safe and legal psychedelic sessions for many individuals from all over the world. Our work in the psychedelic field deepened and strengthened as we shared a collective inspiration and purposefulness of doing profound transformative work together.

Hans van Wechem, MD

Hans has over 30 years of experience in the psychiatric field and has been working as a psychiatrist in his private practice since 2003. His line of expertise lies in working with people who suffer from early childhood trauma and attachment disorders. He has profound knowledge of non-ordinary states of consciousness.

Hans furthermore is a certified bonding psychotherapist and teaching fellow as well as a systemic psychotherapist. His understanding of the human psyche, his personality, and his humor make him an open-minded professional who can see beyond the traditional framework of psychiatry.

Jeanine Souren

Jeanine is a clinical psychologist and sexologist with specialties in couples and families. She also runs a private practice in the Amsterdam area where she works with clients from all over the world, offering therapy and coaching for couples, families and individuals.

Jeanine has dedicated her career to helping repair, heal, and strengthen relational brokenness and sexual challenges for couples and individuals. She believes relationships are at the very core of human emotions. Relationship with oneself and with others. She also believes that getting in touch with the emotional layer that lies underneath a question is essential, as often, the key to new insight can be found in that layer.

Jeanine has been part of the Integrative Psychiatry Institute (IPI) since 2022 where she teaches future psychedelic assisted therapy practitioners.

Fleur Nasiri psychedelic therapists and experiential training institute

Fleur is a highly experienced psychodrama therapist and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapist based in the Netherlands. After earning her degree in Psychodrama Therapy, Fleur went on to specialize in the use of MDMA, Ketamine, and Psilocybin through a year-long training program at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. She has since been appointed as a lecturer in psilocybin therapy, where she is focused on increasing access to safe and effective psychedelic-assisted therapies by training a new generation of therapists to integrate these therapies into their practice.
At ETI, Fleur combines psychodrama, psychedelic therapies, breathwork, and schema-focused therapy to guide individuals and groups toward positive transformation. Her compassionate yet playful approach has earned her a reputation as a highly skilled and insightful therapist, and her clients have reported transformative and life-changing experiences.

Stine is a highly experienced professional in the field of management and development. With her legal background and over 20 years of experience, she has gained a reputation as a master organiser, operational manager, and expert in getting things done with the highest standards. Stine is renowned for her compassionate care and her ability to connect with people on a deep level. She is known for her straightforward personality and her no-nonsense approach. She believes in tackling issues head-on and finding practical solutions that work. Her ability to communicate clearly and effectively has helped her to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
Stine's role as the operational manager at ETI allows her to showcase her exceptional combination of skills and expertise. Her wealth of experience in leading teams, coordinating events, and managing intricate projects makes her an indispensable asset to the organization.

Ross brings a wealth of experience in healthcare program delivery to his role at ETI. With a professional background spanning creative strategy, service delivery, and community development, Ross has worked with leading organisations in the health, wellbeing, and mental health sectors to build impactful and purpose-driven experiences.
As our Program Lead, Ross is responsible for designing and managing the delivery of ETI’s programs, ensuring they are impactful, engaging, and accessible to all participants. With a strong focus on community building, Ross fosters a supportive environment where mental health professionals can connect, collaborate, and grow throughout their training journey.
Currently completing an MSc in Psychology, Ross is passionate about the transformative potential of psychedelic-assisted therapy and is committed to supporting both professionals and individuals as they explore holistic approaches to healing, growth, and wellbeing.
